SUS The daily word game
where one hint lies

About SUS

What SUS is (a free daily word game where one hint may be lying), who makes it, and how to reach us.

About SUS: four suspects holding the hints SELFIE, WRIST, TEXT and SCREEN.
SUS is a free daily word game made by PVV Media Technologies.

Every day, SUS has one secret word and a lineup of suspects, each holding a one-word hint that points at it. One of those hints may be a lie, picked by an imposter who was shown a fake word. You get three guesses at the word and a couple of ways to get help, and then you point at the liar.

What makes SUS different?

The hints are picked by players. After finishing a case, some players are asked to pick a hint for an upcoming one, and usually about 1 in 5 of them is secretly made the imposter. When too few players have picked, the game adds hints of its own; the case file says which, once the case has closed. When a case closes, its case file shows the answer, which hints lied (if any did) and how everyone did, and you can play past cases from the files.

There are a few twists. Every Sunday, the Big Case has six suspects and two imposters. On some days there’s no imposter at all, or there are two, and the game never says which. And you can start a private case for your own group in friends mode, where your friends write the hints.

New to the game? Start with how to play. Curious where the words come from? Read how cases are made.

Free, with no sign-up

SUS is free, and there’s nothing to buy. It runs in your web browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. There’s no account and no sign-up: your browser keeps a random player number and your scores on your device. There’s no advertising, and no analytics or tracking. Our privacy policy says exactly what is kept, and for how long.
